    Is there a number that does not give you peace and that you would like to block? Then try the solutions I am about to recommend, thanks to which you can automatically reject all calls received by the latter.

    Android call blocker

    Before seeing in detail what are the third-party apps to install on your smartphone, I would like to show you how to use the call blocker included by default on Android to put an end to harassing calls from your contacts or unsaved numbers calling you all the time.



    To block one of your contacts, open the application Address book (on some versions of Android it is also called Contacts) and select the name of the person you want to block. Then tap onpencil iconpiggy symbol (...) located at the top right and, in the menu that opens, tap on the option All calls to voicemail to prevent the selected contact from disturbing you again.

    Alternatively, open the dialer (the screen where telephone numbers are dialed), presses the button Menu / Other collocato in alto a destra and seleziona la voce Settings from the menu that opens. Then go to the menu Other settings> Call barring> Voice call and block unwanted contacts from the screen that appears. If you want to block a number that is not among your contacts, save it in the address book and repeat the operations I just suggested you implement to block calls.

    If you have an Android smartphone updated to Android 6.0 Marshmallow (and later versions), you can also block numbers directly in the call history.


    To do this, open the app Telephone, tap on the tab Call and, as soon as you have identified the number to block, press on it keeping your finger pressed for a few seconds. In the menu that opens, then tap on the option Block number and the selected number will be added to the blacklist.

    If you have a smartphone Samsung, the procedure for blocking a number may be slightly different. To block a number, you may need to launch the app Telephone, press the button Other located at the top right and select the item Settings give the menu check if you press.

    After that, you should be able to go up Reject calls> Blocked list e select a number from the phonebook, select a number from the call log o type "manually" the number to block.

    In case of second thoughts, you can unblock a blocked number on your smartphone by following the reverse procedure to the one described above. Then select the blocked contact in the dialer settings and press the option of release Present on the menu if you press.

    Alternatively, go to the app Phonebook / Contacts, select the contact to unlock, first press the icon of pencil, by pressing the button (...) and remove the check mark from the option All calls to voicemail.

    Also iPhone offers a practical function to block calls from unwanted numbers. Let me explain it to you in detail.


    To block a number on iPhone, go to the menu Settings iOS device (the gear icon located on the home screen) and select the items Phone> Blocked contacts present in the screen that opens. Hence the option Add, select the contact to block and that's it.

    If the number to block is not yet included in your iPhone's address book, open the dialer (the handset icon located on the home screen), select the tab Recent and locate, in the list of recent calls, the address you want to add to the black list.


    At this point, tap on the icon (I) which is next to the number you want to block, press the option Block contact present in the screen that opens and confirm the operation by pressing the button Block contact which appears below.

    In case of second thoughts, to unblock a previously blocked contact, go to the menu Settings> Phone> Blocked contacts iOS, swipe from right to left on the contact to be unlocked and press the red button Unlock that appears from the side.

    Every day you are bombarded with calls from call center and other nuisances? Don't panic! There are free apps that allow you to block calls from all "harassing" numbers automatically: just install them and, thanks to databases of "annoying" numbers updated daily, all calls from call centers, scammers and other nuisances notes are automatically rejected.


    TrueCaller (Android/iOS)

    TrueCaller it's one of the best app to block calls that are present on the square. This free solution, compared to the call blocking functions included by default on Android and iPhone, is much more powerful since it is able to block even the numbers coming from scammers, call center operators and other usual "nuisances", thanks to the constant database. updated which complicates life especially for telemarketers.

    Caution: to install TrueCaller on your device you must create an account and accept the terms of service which, among other things, provide that anyone can find out about your phone number and registered users can even trace your name starting with your number . Therefore, before using this service, please read carefully the terms of service (available in English) on the official website of TrueCaller.


    If you have decided to use this service, download the TrueCaller app available for Android and iOS devices and, once the download is complete, tap the button apri to start it, or presses on its icon that appeared on the home screen. When the application is started, press the green button Start, allow the app to access your contacts, your calls and your SMS, type your mobile number in the field Enter your number ... and confirm the operation by tapping the button Continue.

    Now wait for the call from a bot (do not answer the call) and continue with the registration of your account by entering your name and surname in the appropriate fields and deciding whether to authenticate through your email address or, if you prefer, through your account Facebook o Google. Once you have logged in, you will be offered a short video-tutorial: press the option three times NEXT and then I got it to skip it and follow the instructions I am about to give you in order to use the app to the fullest.

    Android

    If you want to use TrueCaller to block call center and telemarketing operators numbers on Android, tap on the symbol and, in the menu that opens, tap on the option Settings (the gear icon). In the screen that appears, tap on the option Block and move up ON the switches located next to the items Block well known spammers e Block Private Numbers. Finally, you will no longer receive harassing calls from anonymous numbers.

    If, on the other hand, you want to use TrueCaller's blacklist function to block any other number, tap ongray shield icon located on the home screen of the app (top right), presses the symbol capacitor positive (+) lead and, in the menu that appears, choose one of the available options: Block an SMS sender, Freeze a number series, Block number.

    If for any reason you decide to unblock a number that you entered in your blacklist, tap on the symbol (...) located at the top right and, in the menu that opens, presses on the option My unwanted list, tap on the symbol negative (-) lead placed next to each blocked number and confirms the intention to unblock the number in question by tapping on the option Yes.

    If you want to identify calls from call centers and telemarketers on iOS, access the menu Settings > Phone> Call blocking and identification and move up ON the lever located next to the TrueCaller icon. In this way, you will authorize the app to "read" the numbers of incoming calls and then to notify you in case it is a bother or call center operators.

    At this point, open the TrueCaller app, select the tab Unwanted and first presses on the option to activate call filtering (if necessary) and then on the button Update now to update the list with known annoyance numbers (which you will need to remember to do from time to time to keep your black list up to date).

    Mission accomplished! From now on, TrueCaller will monitor all incoming calls and notify you when you receive calls from call centers or other known annoyances. How do you say? Would you like to automatically block calls received from numbers on the black list? No problem, you can do that too.

    To activate the automatic blocking of calls from call centers and other annoyances, you must create a contact in the address book with all the numbers in the TrueCaller black list and you must take advantage of the iOS call blocking function to block the latter.

    To create a contact with all numbers in the TrueCaller black list, open the TrueCaller app, select the tab Home which is at the bottom left, tap on the your profile photo (top left), go up Settings> More annoying and activate the lever for the option Save as contact. Next, go to the menu Settings> Phone> Blocked contacts of iOS, presses on the option Add and select the contact BORER from your iPhone address book.

    Caution: by proceeding in this way, all numbers present in the TrueCaller black list will be added to the iOS blocking function as single numbers. This means that to remove them from the iOS black list and unlock them, you will have to select them one by one.

    Should I Answer (Android/iOS)

    If you've discarded TrueCaller because you don't want to go public with your phone number, you should definitely give it a try Should I Answer, a free app that requires neither registration nor tracking of your data (including your mobile number). This service works very well and blocks all calls originating from numbers deemed unreliable by the community.

    The app is available for free for both Android and iOS, but I want to tell you that as regards the version for Apple devices, the call blocking function is only available if you subscribe, which starts at € 1,99 / month.

    After installing and running Should I Answer on your device, grant it the permissions it needs to function properly and scroll through the information tabs that are present on its home screen, in order to see the main features of the application.

    After that, if you use Should I Answer for Android, fai tap sul pulsating Active protection, so as to directly block unwanted calls that you will eventually receive (in this case you will have to agree to set Should I Answer as the default "Phone" app) or tap the button Passive protection, if you just want to see spam call alerts.

    As for the version for iPhone instead, go to Settings> Phone> Call blocking and identification and move up ON the switch located in correspondence with the item ShouldIAnswer.

    By doing so, whether you are using Android or using iPhone, the app will start monitoring calls, reporting the identity of possible spammers. Of course, it will only be able to do this if the number that's pestering you has already been included in the Should I Answer database.

    If you are interested in activating the preventive blocking function of unwanted calls, as I understand, you can activate it in the following way: on Android, fai tap sul pulsating (≡), presses on the voices Settings> Lock I will post your ON the switch levers located next to the various types of calls you want to block (eg. reported by you as spamforeign number, etc.); If you use the version for iPhone, on the other hand, presses the icon of the wheel located in the upper right corner of the screen and move up ON l'interruttore collocato accanto alla dicitura Block negative calls, present in the screen that opened.
