App to block known contacts and numbers

Is there a number that does not give you peace and that you would like to block? Then try the solutions I am about to recommend, thanks to which you can automatically reject all calls received by the latter.

Android call blocker

Before seeing in detail what are the third-party apps to install on your smartphone, I would like to show you how to use the call blocker included by default on Android to put an end to harassing calls from your contacts or unsaved numbers calling you all the time.

To block one of your contacts, open the application Address book (on some versions of Android it is also called Contacts) and select the name of the person you want to block. Then tap onpencil iconpiggy symbol (...) located at the top right and, in the menu that opens, tap on the option All calls to voicemail to prevent the selected contact from disturbing you again.

Alternatively, open the dialer (the screen where telephone numbers are dialed), presses the button Menu / Other collocato in alto a destra and seleziona la voce Settings from the menu that opens. Then go to the menu Other settings> Call barring> Voice call and block unwanted contacts from the screen that appears. If you want to block a number that is not among your contacts, save it in the address book and repeat the operations I just suggested you implement to block calls.

If you have an Android smartphone updated to Android 6.0 Marshmallow (and later versions), you can also block numbers directly in the call history.

To do this, open the app Telephone, tap on the tab Call and, as soon as you have identified the number to block, press on it keeping your finger pressed for a few seconds. In the menu that opens, then tap on the option Block number and the selected number will be added to the blacklist.

If you have a smartphone Samsung, the procedure for blocking a number may be slightly different. To block a number, you may need to launch the app Telephone, press the button Other located at the top right and select the item Settings give the menu check if you press.

After that, you should be able to go up Reject calls> Blocked list e select a number from the phonebook, select a number from the call log o type "manually" the number to block.

In case of second thoughts, you can unblock a blocked number on your smartphone by following the reverse procedure to the one described above. Then select the blocked contact in the dialer settings and press the option of release Present on the menu if you press.

Alternatively, go to the app Phonebook / Contacts, select the contact to unlock, first press the icon of pencil, by pressing the button (...) and remove the check mark from the option All calls to voicemail.
